Apertures and Doors do not appear when 'Select Doors and Apertures' is selected

Hi!
I’ve been testing out Pollination for a week or so in a couple of projects, and this is the first time I’ve encountered this issue. I’ve looked for answers in the forum, but there doesn’t seem to be one related to my case.

For reference, this model has many design options. I selected one of the many design options as it seemed to have everything I needed to start generating the geometry for IES-VE. When I click ‘Select apertures and doors,’ I get nothing on the screen. All other components of the model get exported just fine, but in the places where the curtain walls are located, Pollination seems to recognize them as Walls.

My first thought was that this had to be because of the way the architects modeled glazing and doors. My Revit knowledge is limited, so I reached out to the Architect, and they said the following:
“As far as the apertures go, the curtain wall is modeled in an atypical fashion because we wanted the glazing units to be truly curved. The workflow to achieve that involves using a glass wall type for the panels, with sweeps for the horizontal mullions, within the curtain wall system family. It may be that the plugin is reading those panels as walls rather than openings. Is there a way for it to detect based on material rather than family type?”

I hovered over the ‘Select Apertures and Doors’ option, and it seemed to be using the family. Could this be the reason why I’m not getting any of the glazing to show up? Is there a workaround for this within Pollination?

I would appreciate your help!

Hi @sramas, and welcome to the forum! Thank you for the detailed explanation.

This is a bug that we are aware of and has been fixed. It has to do with how the Revit plugin tries to filter the apertures per floor.

I was hoping to avoid creating a new release on Friday evening and planning to release the new version early next week but if this is an urgent case, I can make a new public release of the Revit plugin. Let me know the level of urgency and we can plan accordingly. Thanks!
