Can the GH plugin run without having a subscription to the Rhino plugin? For example, can I perform a full annual energy analysis in GH and not have the Rhino plugin? If so, is there a way to do the analysis locally and not on the cloud or not as a public project?
Yes. The Grasshopper plugin is separate from the Rhino plugin and is free. It is fully functional on its own.
Yes. You can run it locally. Right click on the Pollinate component and you will see the option to switch to a local run.
If you want to only use Grasshopper and run everything locally you may want to use the Ladybug Tools plugins instead. Unless you are looking to use recipes that are not available in Ladybug Tools.
Correct! All the simulation information is only available locally. The only information that will show up under the account on the cloud is the project name, and the recipes that are added to the project. If you use an organization and create private projects, then that is not visible to anyone except yourself.
