Command to Extend Alignment Line

I would find it very useful to have a command that extends an alignment line along its current direction or the ability to manually stretch the line at its current angle similar to how holding shift and moving an endpoint will snap to fixed increment angles. For buildings with complex geometry, an infinite line can intersect or approach unrelated vertices in a target room and cause the align command to modify the room in a way I didn’t intend.

Hi @mdouglass,

This is already available. You can use the Alignment Line command to do this. Here is a short recording.

I like this idea too. I’m not sure about the complexity of implementation. Do you still need this command now that you know about the Line command?

Agreed!

P.S. We have yet to make an official announcement, but we have added the feature that you asked for to be able to rotate the grid. I included that in the video.

Ah, phenomenal! I had no idea about the alignment line length feature. That looks like it’ll suit my needs perfectly. Wish I reached out earlier during this project.
