Difference in radiation with IESVE

Dear colleagues,

I’ve made a quick analysis of the solar radiation falling on the building facade, and I get disagreeing results between IESVE and Honeybee. This is the overview with the color:

and this is the overview per orientation:

radiation per orientation
rhino iesve
S 1033 920 -11%
E 822 740 -10%
N 327 350 7%
W 656 610 -7%

Therefore, I have two questions regarding these results:

  • how does one explain differences of 10% in the radiation falling on the facade?
  • which one provides the most trustworthy results, IESVE or Honeybee?

Thanks in advance for the input!

Hi @pmcmm, this is not related to Pollination. This has been discussed on the Ladybug Tools several times. Here is one of the relevant posts.

Please post the Ladybug Tools related questions in Ladybug Tools forum. Thanks.
