I’ve tried to run various energy recipes available in Pollination for Rhino and all of them have failed. I’ve set up the model, construction, programmes, etc, following the pollination tutorials (most are a bit out of date but hopefully not so much that they are still relevant), but the sims just fail. Can you take a look and advise why Pollination keeps failing to run energy simulations?
Also, do all queries have to be public, or is there an option to message the pollination team directly to avoid company and project details being open to the public?

So far all of my energy models have failed using pollination plug in for rhino. This is on multiple projects using different plug in recipes.
The err file is difficult to decipher, so I’m wondering if the UI could be developed to inform users why Pollination is failing?
So far the energy use and daylight recipes in pollination for rhino are causing no end of problems and it’s very obvious Pollination is still very much in beta stage and not ready to be used professionally, but it’d be helpful if there was a clearer diagnostic explaining what’s causing the issues in Pollination. Is this possible?
I merged all of your energy simulation-related questions here. The short answer is that you need to read the error messages that you copied above.
As I have mentioned before, for us to be able to help you, we need you to take the time to explain the issue better. I understand your complaints but they don’t help me to be able to help you. They just make your posts longer without adding much value.
Here is a short list that can help you:
Tell us a bit about the model. If you have assigned any HVAC for instance, or edited the program types. If you have a guess about why it might be failing.
Tell us if the model is valid. Have you run the validation command?
Share the full error message with us. You can upload the error file.
Now to answer your specific questions:
No. You can send us private messages. It is a bit surprising that you ask this because we already have several private messages going on. You can use private messages to share your model, more details, etc.
The message is truncated. If you can share the full message we might be able to tell what needs to get fixed.

Thanks for your response, although I’m not quite following on this one, can you elaborate why certain people aren’t suitable for Pollination?
I think it could be a game changer and the creation of the HB rooms in the plug-in is fantastic on it’s own without using the recipes. However, I’ve experienced issues for the results for the daylight sim and energy recipes in the plug for rhino. I’ll revert back to each issue thread until the issues are fixed and really appreciate your support on this.
Ultimately, I’d like to be able to see that pollination works so I can promote role outs and deployment on many projects. So I’m very keen to persevere but it’s very challenging when fundamental issues arise which is difficult to trace back to a resolution in the online tutorials. I think I’ll need to be patient and create simpler test models. If the results keep failing it’d good to know why though.
