Feedback and Notes for V3.20

Hi Pollination,
I’ve been enjoying V3.20, but have ran into some issues/bugs that I figure you’d want to know about, documented below:

  1. Currently I cannot export.GEM. It seems to work if I isolate the lowest floor, but I cannot export he full model.
  2. When selecting levels to import - If you deselect certain rooms (so they dont get added to the model), then update any floor’s ‘pending/skip/export’ status, it reselects all your rooms that were previously deselected. This means you cannot deselect rooms working level by level, because once you finish one floor and change the next floor to ‘export’, all those rooms get reselected.
  1. Lastly, i think it is unclear how the ‘match and replace room’ tool works. This seems like it would be really helpful. For instance in my latest model, I had identical rooms for each floor. I assume this tool matches the above floors to the outline of the rooms below, but I couldn’t figure out how to use this tool

Thanks

ive tried exporting another model as a .gem, and it worked, so im unsure what is causing the problem with my primary model

Hi @davidturner2209, I’m glad you are enjoying using the new version and thank you for the feedback.

I recorded a video in my response to your email. This is happening because Pollination fails to find a solution to mesh a room with a hole inside it. You can simply split that room and put air-boundaries between them.

I see your point here. The way the UI is currently designed is based on the idea that you have all the levels to the Model Editor in one go, and then clean them up level by level in the Model Editor. This is a different approach from what we had in the older version.

That said, you can click on each row and only add that level to the Model Editor.

Thank you for bringing this up. We’re overdue for recording a tutorial video for this.
