Hi All ..
This is my first post! I’ve got a weird issue after installing the Rhino plugin. now I got redundant Ladybug components in GH . see the picture

I had already installed the Ladybug Grasshopper plugin so this might be the issue? but I would like to fix that without messing up with the installation.

Any idea how to fix that?

Hi @abdalla,

It is most likely because you have installed the Ladybug Tools plugin using the Food4Rhino installation workflow which installs them under your user folder and then have used the Pollination installer that installs them under the Program Files. You should only use the one that comes with the Pollination single click installer.

Would manually deleting the Food4Rhino Ladybug Tools plugin from my user folder be sufficient?

Also do I need to reinstall Radiance if I do that or is it an independent installation anyway?

Yes. That’s my understanding. @mingbo and @chriswmackey can correct me if I’m wrong.

No. The single click installer install Radiance, OpenStudio, and all the other dependencies for you. You don’t have to install anything else.

Yes, that will definitely fix it. Technically, I think the Pollination single-click installer is supposed to delete the old Food4Rhino installation under your user folder so that you do not end up with this situation of duplicated components.

@mingbo would know for sure but I think this case of duplicated components only happens if you have some other user of the machine running the Pollination single-click installer such that the installer does not find the Food4Rhino LBT installation under your personal user profile. In other words, if your IT department had authorized you as a user to run the Pollination installer rather than running the installer under the IT user profile, you could have avoided this situation.

The single click installer didn’t delete the old Food4Rhino installation in my case. There are multiple users, however it’s mainly myself and the admin account for installing stuff.

Just for reference if anybody runs into this issue, I deleted the duplicated installation manually from here.

C:\Users%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries

C:\Users%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\UserObjects
