Has anyone encountered an issue with installing the Revit plug-in in 2025. I followed the installation prompts, but when I open Revit and load add-ins, I am shown this screen:
I thought we had this one covered but it looks like it will be with us until we fully remove Eto.
This is most likely because you have another Pollination plugin installed that conflicts with Pollination. Can it be that you have an older version ClimateStudio or RhinoInsideRevit installed? See this topic.
Ah so something is not being referenced correctly? I will be honest I am not sure if I have an older version of ClimateStudio. Is there any workaround for this? Could I uninstall Pollination Revit Plugin and reinstall just the 2025 version?
Do you mean that you don’t have ClimateStudio installed? In that case, can you send me the list of plugins that you have installed? This is a conflict between the dependencies of Pollination and some other plugins that use a different version of Eto. The easiest workaround is to uninstall the other plugin or remove it from Revit’s plugin directory temporarily so Pollination can load the libraries correctly.
I just checked and we use the same version of Eto.Platform.Wpf for all the versions of the Revit plugin (2.7.3). I guess that means that one of those Plugins has changed the version of Eto that they use for their Revit 2025 plugin. Is it possible for you to disable the plugins, and see which one is causing the issue?
@ksobon will correct me but from what I understand there is no easy way to fix this dependency conflict between the plugins.
I believe there is a something that I can download to quickly disable add-ins in Revit to test for a culprit. I will have to look into it tomorrow and I will report back.
@asisnath is it under the manage tab, I can’t seem to find it. I see the marco manager but not the addin manager, unless I need to have a project open?
Based on the docs, you can do it either from the UI under Manage Extensions Add-Ins Manager, you can launch Revit Add-Ins Manager as a standalone application without launching Revit!
I ended up not using the Autodesk Add-in Manager. It’s a little cumbersome and only works with 2025. 3rd party apps seem to be much better but I was able to find what add-in(s) were causing the issue. The entire bundle of CTC suites is blocking Pollination Revit plug-in. After disabling, it seems that i was able to load Pollination with no issue.
Thank you for debugging, @srojas92! Let’s see if I can find someone in their company to help us with this. I don’t know if I know anyone but @ksobon might know someone who can help us.
