Received an error with the with my current model I’m attempting to snapshot. On step 4 I get a note saying the building is invalid and RoofSpecification must have at least one Face3d.
Attempted to export the snapshot anyway and snapshots fail to upload.
Plugin was re-downloaded yesterday
Curious if and how the Face3d thing can be resolved or bypassed or if it is just an issue with the way the Revit was built and can’t be resolved. Can provide link to models and test snapshots via DM.
Hi @mmeador, That is unfortunate! Sorry about that.
Can you please share the snapshot with us via DM? If you can also include @chriswmackey it would be great.
My guess is that you have a strange roof object that has no geometry. We should add an additional check for this and bypass the check if there is an invalid roof object.
Very sorry that you received this error, @mmeador.
It was a bug in the latest release that was my fault. I just pushed fixes for all of it and we’re trying to get a release out ASAP.
I know that we already fixed your snapshot via PM so that you’re unblocked. For anyone else who encounters this issue before we can get a release out, just PM us your snapshot and we’ll fix it so that you’re unblocked.
Hi @mmeador, thank you for reporting the bug. We just released version 2.143.3 with a fix for this particular issue. Give it a try and let us know if the issue hasn’t been resolved.
Downloaded the update.
Was able to show the preview in step 4 with no errors.
With the desktop editor, I also tested opening a couple of the snapshots I took yesterday that still contained the RoofSpecification lines.
It opened the snapshots with no issues.
