Not reading as a space or windows

I initially modelled the following as the spaces and openings as separate closed polysurfaces. through this method, Pollination was able to read the spaces and openings in the model correctly. However, when I tried to import the geometry to IES, the spaces were successfully imported, but the openings have disappeared.

I have explored a different way by splitting the spaces with the openings, on the otherhand, now Pollination is unable to read the model at all.

Can I please have some advice on the proper workflow? I’m unsure where I went wrong…

Hi @shermin, welcome to the forum!

This is the correct way of building the model. Can you share your model with us? I can record a short video for you to show how you should model it correctly. You should have modeled the openings as apertures.

Hi @shermin, thank you for sharing your model. The issue is that you have modeled the windows as closed polysurfaces but they should be modeled as surfaces.

You can either use the PO_DrawApertures to draw them on top of the room faces and use your existing geometry as the guide. Or explode and simply the polysurfaces and only keep the one on top of the face, and use PO_AddApertures to add the face to the room as an aperture.

Let me know if you have any questions.
