Pollination Fly & Image Capture

Hi All,

Recently tried Colibri from TT and couldnt get the image capture mechanism to work.

I then found via a discourse post where @mostapha reccomends the Fly component which was reintroduced from legacy.

I followed the above video (thank you for this - it’s the clearest explanation i can find for iterating image capture in GH).

But my issue is that it is iterating before the image capture takes place - the image is produced but the coloured visual output (sunlight for example) is not being included. I note that this is specifically tackled by introducing boolean logic to only take the image after the calculation is completed - i followed the same logic but to no avail.

As a temporary fix - i found that the Colibri iterator connected to the Fly ID & LB Capture View components generate an image of the results before moving onto the next iteration.

It pains me to use two components - i’d love to have a clean Ladybug only canvas.
Wondering if you have a grasshopper example file & a working LB Fly iterator saving images of say the Direct Sun Hours analysis?

thanks so much in advance!

Hi @leightonahmm,

I would need to see the script to be able to help. One other trick that you might want to try is to select the capture image component and click Ctrl + F to bring it to Front so it gets executed last. It has worked for me in the past but I haven’t tried it recently.

Hi Mostapha,

Brill thanks - i did also try ctrl + F but i didn’t get feedback on the canvas that this worked & when i ran last week it didn’t seem to have an impact.

However - i just reconnected the wires and tried again as per the video and it’s working fine; no colibri in sight.

thanks again!
