We are glad to let you know that as for the last couple of releases, the Pollination export to IDA ICE is now compatible with IDA ICE v5. As part of the process, we discontinued support for version 4.8.
This version is compatible with version 5.01 but you can also import these models to version 5.1.
There are no major changes in the process however there are a couple of improvements that are worth mentioning.
Support for non-rectangular windows and skylights
The new exporter takes advantage of the new functionalities in IDA ICE v5 to export non-rectangular windows and skylights. It also allows exporting rectangular skylights that are not fully aligned with the XY axis. Thank you @donald-otterson for bringing this limitation to our attention.
Support for ShadeMesh geometry
The new exporter supports exporting ShadeMesh objects in Pollination models. Unlike the older version of the exporter, each ShadeMesh translates to a separate shade object in IDA ICE. This change gives you better control for editing the shades after the export.
