@mostapha I have team members reporting an error code while trying to check out a Revit plugin license. The message is “Failed to check out license from the pool: Error code: 47 Error message: The difference between the network time and the system time is more than allowed clock offset.” When I tried I got a no valid license message. I will say that I was the only person that had their computer date and time setting set time zone automatically turned on but I still couldn’t use our license. I went ahead and told every other team member to turn on set time zone automatically and they are still getting the Error 47 message.
Hi Peter (@nynepbermel), thank you for reporting this. Let me check and get back to you. I think the default for clock offset is set to an hour which should cover this case. But clearly, it is not working in your case. I will keep you posted.
Hi again, @nynepbermel, I increased the allowed clock offset for your license. Can you try now and see if you can check out a license?
@mostapha I’m not getting the no valid license message anymore. I’ll have to check with team members getting the Error 47 Message and see if it’s resolved as they have all gone home for the day. What is the allowed clock offset looking at (i.e the timestamps between what two items)?
That’s good! At least we know that it works for you. Let me know what happens with the rest of the team.
It is the allowed difference between the network time and the system time. Generally speaking, it is a concept to ensure the user won’t change the date on their local machines to extend their use of license for a longer time period.
