I’m trying out the Pollination workflow on a Revit project, but I’m currently stuck at the “Select Windows” step. Strangely, the panel doesn’t show any windows or panels to select, and the “Filter by Level” dropdown is completely empty.
To troubleshoot, I tried unchecking the “Windows” category in the Visibility/Graphics Overrides, and the windows in my 3D view did disappear — which suggests that the plugin is recognizing them as windows.
I also tested the Export Rooms function, and it works fine. I can see the room boundaries, and it seems like the windows are indeed placed along those boundaries.
I’m not sure what’s causing this issue. Has anyone experienced something similar or knows how to fix it? Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi @mostapha, Thank you for your reply. I reopened this project and it worked nicely . I think it might just be a bug.
I have another question. After exporting the HBJSON file and opening it in Grasshopper, I tried to add “shade” elements (extrusions such as window sill, jamb) to get more accurate results for the daylight simulation. However the HBJSON model seems to be a single, integrated object (Model 1: Building 1) and I can’t break it down into individual rooms for modification. What would be the best way to model this? Do I have to use Pollination in Rhino? Or it is something I can directly edit in GH? Or I missed any settings in Pollination Revit?
I see. That’s the expected behavior. We should probably have a better warning for it, but if you open a detached file and save it as a central file, then you need to close and re-open the file.
I have installed the latest version of the Revit plugin, but I am getting this error:
“Unknown License! Unknown message!”
This issue started when I opened the Export Windows/Doors tab, the window was empty and there was nothing to select. I came here nd saw a message from Mr. Mustafa recommending to download the latest version, if anyone encounters this problem.
After I installed the latest version, this license error began appearing.
