I’m having an issue with my building’s first floor appearing partially underground or not at all when transferring the model from the Revit Pollination Plugin to IESVE. As a result, the first-floor windows and doors are missing and need to be manually added back into IES or the first floor needs to be done entirely in IES.
I’ve checked the Revit file to confirm the Z origin is set to zero and adjusted the elevations in the Model Editor, the Revit Connector, and the “Room 2D Generic” properties panel but the issue is still occurring.
Are there any additional steps I may be missing to ensure the building elevations transfer correctly?
Hi Mostapha! Thank you for the quick reply. I did some troubleshooting. I removed the windows and hid the roof using the Level selector at the top of the model editor after checking all previously stated level locations and using the auto top-ground command and I am getting all 4 of my floors to show up with the correct geometry at the correct height. When I then turn the roof visibility back on, the first floor disappears underground again when brought into IES. As for adding the windows and doors back into the model, I am using the automatic 0.2 projection distance and 2 angle tolerance. When I add them back without a roof, all of my windows and doors disappear on the 4th floor but I can see all the floors when there is no roof. If I have a roof and windows showing the first floor goes back underground but I have the windows and doors back on the 4th floor. Is pollination limited to 3 floors? Is there something else I can try?
Can you share the PoMF and the opening files with me? I will review your model and record a video for you to show the process. You can send them to me via a private message.
Generally speaking, you may want to try a larger value for windows projection depending on how your model is built.
Also, in case you don’t know already, here is how you can download the openings and share them with me alongside the rooms.
