Hi. I downloaded the latest build of rhino plugin 1.55.10 and installed it successfully without any error popping up. But after opening Rhino 8 its still shows the older plugin version 1.51.16.0 as shown in image below. I tried uninstalling the older version from control panel and reinstall the latest one but still the old version is installed again and again. What might be the issue?
Hi @asisnath, I’m not sure what might be happening. It loads without issues on my end.
What version do you see when you click on About?
I just reverted the installer from the public release so we make sure everything works as expected.
OK. Thank you for testing. I can see what has happened. The installer is the older version but has been renamed to the newer version in our automated release workflow. Give us a few days and we’ll create a new public release. The new version doesn’t have any major changes in the functionalities. It is mostly re-writing the whole underlying code to make the plugin more stable and avoid some of the recurring issues for imperfect models.
Hi @asisnath, you’ll probably see the automated notification but we had a soft release for a newer version of the Rhino plugin.
