Room naming automation in Rhino

Hi everyone,

Anyone had success with automating transfer of names from CAD layer into Pollination rooms? The rooms were built from a 2D imported CAD background (unfortunately). I was wondering if there was a workflow people may have used to read texts on Rhino layer and transfer them onto PO room using Grasshopper scripts either in Python or native components.

Automate rooms renaming

I tried the second option, and this script should do it. You will need the Human Grasshopper plugin. Set display name by text.gh (23.7 KB) rooms-with-names.3dm (193.8 KB) Type the rooms for names in the same plane of the rooms. The insertion point of the name should be inside the room. Hi @mostapha , I think this works. I’ll have to do some precleaning of the naming that’s on the existing floor plan and edit the code a little bit. Thank you.
