Hi @Mostapha. Thank you for the updated and powerful Pollination Revit plugin again . I have started with a small project to get a hang of the new editor panel and I came across a simple query.
As a good practice while creating an analytical model, all the outdoor planer surfaces are modeled to the outer face of the architectural wall and the Indoor planer surfaces to the center of the inner architectural walls.
My query is that as we have two options at the start as the image above to either create rooms from center of wall or at wall finish, can we have an option for Outdoor outer surfaces and Indoor middle surfaces option. If not what would be the best workflow to achieve that from Revit Model.
Good question! If I remember correctly, you asked a similar question before and at the time we didn’t have a very elegant solution. Fortunately, now we do have one.
Unfortunately, Revit doesn’t have such an option. But you can use the Model Editor commands to offset the boundary to adjust for the wall thickness. See here:
I just added a video to the docs that shows the process. Try to refresh the page if you don’t see it.
I must say you have a sharp memory! Yes I had asked the same question once😄 ( couldn’t find that post here). So, it seems still we need to do some manual editing to the model. Thank you for the video tutorial, need to practice to get a hang of it !
