Windows missing from Exterior and Complex Roof Issue

I’m a rookie user and am having two issues with my model:

The windows/doors I added to my Pollination model generally are not being mapped onto my exterior walls (perhaps because they were thick masonry walls and I may have offset the walls too far from the center datum).

My second issue is that part of the roof is not being applied to my rooms. Half of the top floor did take the roof surfaces correctly but the rotunda and other wing did not.

Hi @krockwell1110,

Welcome to the forum. That looks pretty good for the first model.

What values did you use for projection distance and angle tolerance? You may need to increase those values.

Did you set all the rooms to be top exposed? That might be part of the problem. The roof will also most likely need some cleaning up. If you can share the PoMF with me, I can help you with cleaning up the roof.

You can also watch the video in this chapter to learn more about cleaning up the roofs.

Thank you! It is actually my second model. First model went off without too many hitches (Revit-IES-CBECC). I tried bumping up the Projection Distance and Angle Tolerance for windows, still not working.

My rooms on the top level are top exposed - I knew this model would be a good test for Pollination.

It doesn’t appear that I can share the PoMF file as a new user

Hi @krockwell1110,

I made you a basic user so you can upload files here or a private message if you don’t want to share the files publicly. You should also feel free to email them to me directly.

I also need you to download doors and windows as an HBJSON and share them with me to be able to test the process of projecting them onto the rooms. Here is how:

Hi @krockwell1110,

I will share the recording and the edited model with you in the private message. Let’s continue the conversation there.

I’m adding a screenshot here for future reference.
