I used the export mode of the Revit pollination plugin to preview my model. It largely worked and I exported it. Then, I received the notice that I need to upgrade the Revit plugin to work with it in the new model editor.
This is where the confusion began. After I installed the new plugin into Revit, I have not been able to see the apertures and doors associated with the rooms in Step 6 of the export workflow anymore. All apertures and doors read 0.
Doors and apertures always show up correctly in their own section (Step 2 & 3), but they will not transfer into the associated room (Step 6).
I tried to select them via the Aperture/Door feature and then run the export feature, but it didn’t make a difference. I am pretty certain that I didn’t do anything differently compared with my previous workflow.
Is there any new setting I am missing?
Step 6 of export where no windows or doors are associated with rooms after updating the Revit Plugin:
We have changed/improved the process for selecting apertures. You have to changed their status from “Ready to Review” to “Export”. See this announcement for more information
Also, you probably don’t want to select the solid panels as windows. You’re currently selecting all of them in your screenshot.
I’ll be happy to create one! Do you have an example for other software? How does this look like? We have graphics like this, but I think I only used it in one of the announcement posts.
hi @mostapha ~ i like this visual! i’d like to be able to click on the individual sections and be able to navigate to the detailed documentation. For arpertures/doors, i’d love to see clearly that I need to select “export” instead of “ready to review.” For the model editing process, i’d like to see a wheel of steps integrated into your visual that you present all the parts that you show in your youtube videos (maybe even links to the youtube videos). I have done the Model Editor Editing process a few times by now, but I still need to reference my notes and your videos to make sure I follow every step - because every step is relevant.
