Error opening pollination

Dear pollination team,

I’m using a trial to test your impressive piece of software, which I’m pretty convinced of its importance in the workflow between revit and IESVE. I’d like to see it in action, but I’m facing some error during launching. Here is the debug info:

TypeError: Cannot create proxy with a non-object as target or handler

and I’m seeing this:

I don’t think this is revit-related because I get the same error if I click on Model Editor in the desktop app. This is the info from the log file:

Looking forward to read your insight.

Hi @pmcmm,

That’s strange. Can you try to refresh the page by pressing Ctrl+R?

hey Mostapha,
Tried that already with the refresh page button, doesn’t work, always appears the same error. Any other ideas of what I can do to fix it?

Hmm. Maybe @antonellodinunzio can come up with a different solution here.

Let’s see if switching to Model Editor V2 resolves the issue.

  1. Close Model Editor.

  2. Download this file and copy it to %appdata%\Pollination\model-editor\editor.staging.txt

    editor.staging.txt (45 Bytes)

  3. Re-open the Model Editor. This file should redirect the Model Editor to V2.

Let me know if this resolves the problem.

that worked! So it seems to be an issue with the Model Editor V3. Is there anything I can do to help you debug the issue?

That’s great. Then it is an issue with Model Editor Classic or V1 if you want to version it. I think we can try to address it as an issue if more users face the same issue. That said, everyone should start using the new version of the Model Editor. See here:

oh, i confused the revit plugin version with the Model Editor

the new workflow looks really promising, can’t wait to try it out!

Thanks for the help Mostapha. Will go dig deeper again and report back if I have any issues.
