I tried the Revit plugin for a heritage single family home in Bern, Switzerland which I modelled on Revit. It has a mansard roof with 5 dormers (screenshot attached of building). Before taking it to Pollination, I modelled only 1 dormer to try to export the model as .hbjson. The model was validated without issue and I was quite impressed, except one problem - there was a weird extrusion just above the dormer roof, and I assume it had something to do with the room volume. I tried to change the room height, ensured all walls and roofs were room bounding and also tried to add room sep lines in the plan to see if it does something, to no avail. It got even more frustrating after I added the other 4 dormers, since the same issue with the topmost level persisted and I am still struggling to find a way to get the true geometric volume of the attic level (the room outline in the preview should be the volume of the mansard roof). As a result, the uppermost level (attic/lvl 02) is not the true room volume, it appears to have a flat roof and there are some extrusions where the dormers are.
Hi @rsaksena,
The model looks good, and you’re almost there with the roof. You need to do more clean-up to make sure the edges align, but you need to do that in the Model Editor. If you can export your model as a Pollination snapshot and share the PoMF with me, I can show you how to clean it up.
There is also a video tutorial here that you could watch for getting you started.
@mostapha Thanks a lot for the prompt response, I’d try it out but my trial license just ended and I have requested an extension (the dialog said if we write in a detailed feedback, it might get extended and I described this case there.) I would like to upload the .pomf model but turns out as a new user I cannot upload files on the forum.
Hi @rsaksena, I bumped your trust level. You should now be able to upload the PoMF model.
I can also help you with the extension once we resolve this issue.

@mostapha Thanks I really appreciate it. here is the zip with all the levels and shades. I am doing this for a semester project at ETH Zurich, the intent is to do an energy model in HB later.
Hi @rsaksena,
I’m traveling, and I couldn’t record a video for you but here is the model with aligned roofs.
You can see the changes by comparing the changes between the two models.

I also added you to a new license pool that gives you extended access.
One last comment, about the roof geometry. If you want it to look like more similar to what you see in Revit, you can select the Top Face option in Revit. This geometry is created from the interior faces of roofs which is technically more accurate, as it keeps the room volume closer to what you have in the model.

Hi @mostapha, I am not sure what happened here because when I tried to open the .pomf file you sent on this thread earlier, (I went to export model>file>open>model.pomf), I see this preview. I wanted to export the model you set as a .hbjson again today and this is what i saw. I am not sure what changed! A week ago when you sent this, I was able to directly open the .pomf in the model editor (didn’t chcek the preview then) and exported as .hbjson. But while doing the exact same things again, i see this wrong geometry in the preview.
Hi @rsaksena, are you selecting all the roofs? Everything works as expected on my end.
Here is the HBJSON. I also noticed some issues in floor heights that I fixed so the floors are picking as interior floors.
