This is a great question, and we have been testing some different workflows. See here:
We haven’t released this new feature since we haven’t really received enough sample models to get a better sense of how effective the current workflow is.
Meanwhile, you should be able to use the Revit plugin to only export the parts of the model that have changed drastically by only selecting the rooms that you’re interested in, instead of exporting all the rooms on the floor.
I don’t know an easy way. You could technically use IESVE’s Python SDK, but that takes some work. The workflow that is suggested here might be the best option until we make progress in implementing the Model Compare workflow.
@maxhanning might be able to provide additional information about how it could be done using IESVE.
